Linked enterprise data approach applying in a cuban company

Abstract

By incorporating the benefits derived from the use of semantic web data and the principles of linked data in the enterprise information system, Linked Data becomes a novel approach for the integration of data in the business context. In this paper, a Linked Enterprise Data approach is applied for improving the information management, aimed at solving the lack of interoperability between the various data sources involved during the resource planning process of the operation plant in “La Empresa de Mensajería y Cambio Internacional”. A Linked Enterprise Data procedure is presented, based on characteristic aspects of the business context, being this attribute the main distinction of the proposed method, compared to others consulted in the literature. The viability of the Linked Enterprise Data procedure designed is shown by means of its application to the process of pre-warnings in the enterprise studied.
