Abstract

The article perfects the operation of the lines of research in the management of science activity at the University of Matanzas so that they achieve effective expression in the University-Society link. Theoretical and empirical level methods are used. The historical-logical, analytic-synthetic, inductive-deductive, modeling, and system approach were theoretical-level methods used. These methods allowed the proposal of a work procedure. The results achieved through the science, technology, and innovation management indicators established by the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba were evaluated. New actions to fulfill the goal of deepening the university-government-productive sector linkage and increasing its impact on sustainable economic and social development were projected. In general, the lines of research for the period 2016-2020 were worked, the lines of 2021-2025 are restructured and progress is shown in the indicators due to the management carried out.
