Abstract

The objective of this work is to add value to the productive system of a food company in Mar del Plata. The problematic situation is structured and its main causes are detected by applying Soft Systems Methodology in combination with dynamic simulation to model the behavior of the productive system. The problem detected is the need to increase the production capacity to improve compliance with deliveries agreed with customers. A proposal for improvement in productive activities is presented that generates added value for the client and the organization and allows solving the current situation. A simulation software is used to model and compare the current and proposed production system. The results conclude that the improvement alternative exceeds the desired production levels, achieving an increase in the level of customer service. The proposal reduces waste by adding value and improving the competitiveness of the organization.
