The Cuban Industrial state company and the update of the Cuban Economic Model

Abstract

This article is aimed at analyzing the theoretical aspects supporting the development of Cuban industrial companies, assisted by the Ministry of industry, as part of the updating of the Cuban Economic Model. This is a qualitative research. The historical and logical methods, the analysis and synthesis, the analysis of documents and the systemic approach were used. The documents approved by the Party Congresses and the New Republic Constitution as well as the national and international bibliography concerning the topic were studied. The characteristics and evolution of the companies’ improvement were systematized, the precepts to be integrated in the industrial business management were defined and the correspondence between the precepts and the internationally recognized concepts was validated. Concluding, the economic growth required for updating the Cuban economic model demands modernizing the industrial business system and determining the existing gaps to get the desired state approved by the 7th congress.
