Abstract

In the complex, globalized and competitive business context, process management is a necessity in achieving competitive advantages. In recent years, there has been a growth in publications on process management and its relationship with knowledge management. The competitive advantages that an adequate knowledge management produces depend not only on the amount of knowledge gathered and stored but on its use. Consequently, the objective of the work is to identify the necessary knowledge for the development of activities, in the processes, as a management and improvement tool in a medicine company. As a result, the DACUM letter is presented, for the identification of the necessary knowledge, to the process management procedure and is integrated, in a single procedure, to identify the necessary knowledge in the development of the activities of the processes and the support for its documentation.
