Comparison of the use of Operations Research tools and Odoo ERP in production planning

Abstract

This study compares the use of Operation Research tools and the Odoo v.17 ERP System. Both tools are analyzed in terms of efficiency, flexibility and applicability in different productive contexts. The methodology used to implement each approach in a specific case study is described, the results obtained are presented and the benefits and limitations of each tool are discussed. The results show that both OR and Odoo offer significant benefits, but their applicability depends on needs and data availability. The conclusion highlights the importance of selecting the appropriate tool according to the production context.
