Logistics performance and industry 4.0, challenges in Cuba and Latin America
Abstract
The progress of commercial activity has allowed logistics to evolve and increasingly achieve decisive positions in the development of companies and their aspirations in the global market. As technological development increases, new doors open to achieve greater efficiency in logistics management, generating value and satisfaction for target customers. The logistics performance index contributes as a reference in measuring these levels of efficiency and satisfaction. Through the review of various bibliography on the subject and the analysis of the Logistics Performance Reports issued by the World Bank, we reference the current situation of Cuba and the Latin American region and reflect some elements to take into account for the insertion of these countries in the dynamic marked by industry 4.0, where the management and integration of information is of special importance.
