Competitiveness of the Cuban sugar cane sector: potential contribution of standardization to its improvement

Abstract

The article identifies elements of standardization, metrology, and quality that contribute to the elevation and transformation of the competitiveness of the Cuban sugar sector. Previous research and strategic prospecting assessments carried out in the companies studied in the last two years were studied. Actions for its solution that contribute to the search for a new management model for the elements that are part of the sugarcane value chain were proposed.
