Riesgos psicosociales en personal de enfermería del sistema de salud ecuatoriano. Caso Hospital Aníbal González Álava
Abstract
The present research was developed at Dr. Aníbal González Álava Hospital, focusing on the work environment of the nursing staff, with the objective of evaluating the main psychosocial risk factors that affect their well-being and professional performance. The methodology employed included a standardized questionnaire implemented by the Ministry of Labor of Ecuador, direct observation, and documentary analysis. The data obtained were processed through descriptive statistical analysis, considering dimensions such as workload, emotional demands, social support, job control, and job recognition. The results yielded scores that classified the risk level as high, constituting a latent risk factor among the evaluated personnel that may threaten their physical and mental health in the future. It is concluded that psychosocial risk factors represent a significant problem among the nursing staff of the hospital studied, highlighting the need for the implementation of prevention, intervention, and monitoring strategies from an institutional management perspective, aimed at improving working conditions, promoting occupational health, and strengthening the quality of health care services.
