Abstract

The country's leadership, as part of the strengthening of the socialist state enterprise and the informatization of Cuban society, has proposed the need to computerize the processes involved in planning objectives in Cuban entities and the country's higher education. In the planning process, the strategies, policies, and objectives of the entities are defined. These elements trigger a set of processes, which, depending on the follow-up and control given to them, will allow the growth or decrease of the success indicators of the entities. Planning is one of the most relevant functions of Business Management and is considered the main task of the administration. Hence, the correct planning will benefit the national economic activity and the country's development. This paper describes the proposed Activity Planning System to computerize the planning processes via objectives according to the country's current requirements. It also indicates the main functionalities developed to the system that adapt it to the needs of the socialist state enterprise and constitute an innovation.
