Abstract

nternationalization is a process of socialization, cooperation and exchange of science, culture and products from the academic and scientific fields aimed at the development of the country. For its part, agricultural extension is a process that aims to transform productive actors and researchers. Both processes are part of the strategic projection of the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences and contribute directly to its scientific-technical development and agrarian culture. In this sense, a study was carried out to identify the theoretical-methodological relationship between internationalization and agricultural extension through the application of theoretical and empirical methods. With the methodological analysis, we obtained that internationalization and agrarian extension are strategic processes of the institute that tax the socio-productive, knowledge management, economic, political and environmental spheres. These processes generate participation, spaces for dialogue, exchange of knowledge and knowledge, and socio-cultural transformation.
