Inventory management system and customer service of a compressor company in Peru
Abstract
In the present study, the relationship between the inventory system, specifically regarding its management, waiting time, and customer satisfaction of a Peruvian compressor company, was investigated. Upon implementing the logistic management system, the ABC method was utilized to classify inventories based on the monetary value of the product. The obtained results lead us to mention that after the implementation of the logistic management system, indicators improved, along with customer service, a reduction in labor costs, and an increase in production. Consequently, efforts aimed at enhancing inventory management, control, and especially cost reduction, were reflected in higher profits for the company and competitiveness compared to others.
