Analysis of TIC use and difficulties among teachers prior to COVID -19

Abstract

This article presents the analysis of the use of and difficulties encountered by teachers in the use of information and communication technologies before COVID -19. Objective, is to determine the use and difficulties of teachers in the use of TIC in an institution of Neiva. Methodology, the research project is of mixed type seeking to identify the usability and difficulties of TIC in teachers of higher education institutions of Neiva through a survey. Then a statistical analysis is carried out to identify the lowest and highest usability and difficulties teachers present. Results, the statistical analysis carried out, allows verifying that teachers before COVID-19 presented less and greater use and difficulties in TIC, for example the use of collaborative tools such as: zoom, Teams among other tools that provided the opportunity to have a virtual connection with other people were used not so frequently before the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Conclusions: It is important to identify the use and difficulties encountered by teachers in a higher education institution in Neiva before COVID-19, in order to generate a current analysis after the pandemic.
