Production planning of fishing processing in Santiago de Cuba with linear programming

Authors

Abstract

The Cuban fishing industry is optimizing its processes in the face of continuous change: economic, financial, and social. Decisions made with scientific support are required to maximize the economic and financial benefits with a social focus. This approach is inherent to the Cuban state business system and must respond to the restrictions imposed by the internal and external environment. Therefore, a monthly linear programming model is presented for production planning in the fish processing industry in Santiago de Cuba that contributes to effective decision-making. Application of the model in an entity allows decision-makers to know the most profitable products and raw materials and improve production while complying with the restrictions of the production process.
