Abstract

This article presents the design of the competency profile for the Human Capital Management (HCM) process in a Cuban integrated services company, aiming to transcend the traditional administrative vision and position HCM as a strategic business partner. A qualitative methodology with an action-research design was employed, using documentary analysis, focus groups, and the Minidelphi method with 24 experts. Four key competencies were identified as main results: strategic projection of human capital, systemic management of human capital, organizational change management, and organizational communication management, along with their behavioral indicators and process success criteria. It is concluded that this integrative and prospective profile contributes to the selection, evaluation, and training of human capital managers, offering a reference for organizations aspiring to people management with a strategic, systemic, and sustainable approach.
