Logistics and environmental cost indicators in the Angolan Armed Forces
Abstract
This study analyzed the behavior of six logistics and environmental cost indicators over six years in the Fuels and Lubricants Division of the Logistics Directorate of the Angolan Army. A longitudinal observational study was conducted using a quantitative, descriptive-correlational approach, between 2019 and 2024. Control charts, simple linear regression analysis, and Pearson correlation analysis were applied. The results indicated stability in the indicators, although variations occurred due to the effects of COVID-19. Significant correlations were identified between the indicators, suggesting a close relationship between logistics efficiency and the environmental footprint in the fuel and lubricant supply chain of the Angolan Armed Forces, highlighting opportunities to improve its environmental management. Four strategies were proposed to optimize logistics efficiency and reduce the environmental footprint in the fuel and lubricant supply chain of the Angolan Armed Forces.
