Abstract

A risk management model adapted to the real situations of the company in the transportation of goods that affect the supply delivery schedule is proposed. Tools and methods such as the matrix Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) and the model Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR), allowed diagnosing the current situation and the environment. The factors that directly impact the mission of the area and affect the economic indicators of the company were identified. The risk management strategy that will put the entity in a position to protect its logistics system is proposed. It is recommended to apply a model in the supply process and its areas involved. It should include a quantitative study in the risk management model and analysis of the domino effect in the supply chain.
