Abstract

The objective of this article is to determine the degree of perception presented by the citizens of the city of Matanzas regarding the reorganization, conservation and development of the pedestrian infrastructure of the historic urban center. Among the methods used to collect information are: the survey, the pedestrian capacity and the documentary review. Information analysis tools such as UCINET free software and the statistical processors were used. As main results it was possible to determine that the variables constitute a competitive advantage and the variables are considered the weak points of the service. In this way, it was possible to recognize the degree of perception that Matanzas citizens have regarding the service provided by the pedestrian infrastructure of the historic center of the city and their preferences in this regard.
